JAMMU, Jan 6: Payal Jain, a debutante author from Jammu made the Union Territory of J&K proud by winning Rising Star Award and Laureate Finalist Award in Kolkata.

She was honoured in Kolkata National Book Fair 2019-20 in Rising Star Book Awards by Literoma for her first book, “Mind, Life & Reflections.”

Her book was conferred with the ‘Best Book Non Fiction’ and was also the Top 10 featured books for the year 2019 in the self help category. Jain also received recognition for Laureate award finalist place for her debut book released in January 2019 at World Book Fair in Delhi.

 

JAMMU: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday interacted with members of women cycling club, ‘Women Do Ride’ of J&K, at the Raj Bhavan.

The Lt Governor congratulated the members of the first women cycling club led by Ms Payal Jain. He appreciated the efforts of first women cyclist group of J&K in inspiring positivity in society, gender equality, women empowerment, skill-sharing & invaluable contribution to social development of the country.

Insightful discussion on the burning issues of the modern world and working on the healthy solutions to these challenges in BJS panel discussion.

It satisfies me to the core to see how my work is able to touch lives in the most meaningful ways for both of us.

Extremely honoured, overwhelmed and thankful to be part of the three-day command augmented wellness support seminar organised by the Army Wives Welfare Association at Nagrota. The purpose of the seminar was to discuss various aspects which contribute to the wellness of the soldiers, including their families and to enhance awareness about the ability of the human mind to overcome challenges posed by the army way of life to ensure high happiness quotient and wellness.
It was truly a rich learning experience to have met Gaurangan Das ji, hear insights from the co panelists and be a small drop in the visionary ocean of the Indian Army and share my understandings with more than 10,000 army soldiers and their families online and offline.
Honoured to have received recognition from Jammu Kashmir Sports Council for the efforts in promoting sports in the Union Territory.
WDR firmly believes that, the way to realise humanity’s greatest potential is to empower each other because when we do so, we build a world that lifts us all. We have come a long way and still have a long way to go but together is the only way we can make this work. Congratulations to all the WDR members for this appreciation. What a lovely gesture to put across to have women from various facets do the ribbon cutting for their first flagship store in Jammu. It was lovely being in company of these amazing women who actually live and emanate that the only way to lean forward is to lean in together.

Done and dusted 66 km Baramulla to Uri Ride non stop with over 1400 mtrs elevation gain and also managed to bag 7th position.
Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value. I’m glad I could be of some to Indian army. Proud to be part of the initiative which is so close to my heart.
